Before I give you the challenge I want to take a moment to let you all know that I am swamped. I can't make my rounds to everyone's blog the way I want to. But things will be better next week. My apologies.
Today, instead of a set of three words or ideas, I’m giving you one emotion. It’s your job to write a sentence, in any genre, using that emotion. At the end of the day, I will post my sentence.
Rule: Keep it clean. This is not an x-rated blog and very young eyes may stumble upon this blog and be influenced by what you or I write.
Excitement.
That’s the emotion. Have fun.

A smile stretched across my face as I heard the clatter of hooves upon my roof, the snow on the ground outside glistening in the moonlight.
You've got the spirit of things, Jeffrey.

My heart rate went from 70 to 120 in 3.5 second when I realized that I was getting published...
I spun and twirled, my blade flashing in the bright sunlight as I forced a path through my enemies.
My heart would do the same Misha.
Twirling, sunlit blades, love it Golden.
Thank you both for commenting.

It made my stomach turn just looking at it, but I needed that stupid treadmill.
(Hee hee, I have to run this morning. I guess it's on my mind.) =)
When we arrived at the birthday party, my three-year-old son bolted out of my grip, running first to the bouncy house, then the games with flashing lights, and finally the tower of cupcakes in the center of the table.
A treadmill would do the same thing to me, Carolyn.
Sandra, your sentence made me smile with memories.
Thank you both for your comments.

The moose took a step toward me and I backed up and felt the trunk of a tree kiss my back.
The a tough spot to be in Paul. Made me smile.
Thanks for participating.

I looked at the caller ID and stopped breathing--petrified with joy--when I recognized the number.

Glad to hear it, Nancy! [grin]
I'm addicted to micro-flash stories. I post one every month on my web site. I call them Hot Flashes.
