You Deserve A Star Today:

Yes everyone, last week I received this most excellent award from Jeffrey Beesler. My third, I do love them. More on that in a moment.

I’m doing some housekeeping today. First, I want to apologize for the blog slowing down and for that annoying box that pops up with word verification when you comment. I guess blogger just decided to change my settings and stick that in there. I took it off.

I also deleted the Renaissance blog roll…you can Google those festivals and fairs and find the one nearest you; they occur somewhere all year long.

For those of you who are interested in the Fantasy Blog Hop, that’s a good idea, but, it made my blog toooooo slooooowwww. So I removed it.

Now back to the ‘You Deserve a Star,’ award given to me by Jeffrey Beesler at Jeffrey Beesler’s World of the Scribe, click here, to link.

The rules that come with the star are as follows. I will share 10 writing habits…or something else that might interest you all. And I will award this Star to 4 deserving bloggers of my choice. When you award something…be kind enough to tell them you did it. And be kind enough to tell everyone who gave it to you.

Here are my 4 blogger friends:

1. Bodie Parkhurst, this is her pen name and it’s up to Bodie to tell you more. Bodie has done the artwork for my bookcover. Click here to go to her blog and read her excellent post and then check out her art. For me, I needed a sophisticated cover but also a simple one. Sorry, it’s too soon to share. But I appreciate Bodie’s help with this and so she deserves a star.

2. Heidi M. Thomas. Heidi is my editor. She is patiently working with me at my schedule, not hers. Not an easy task, but one that is appreciated. She is a writer and offers a variety of services. Click here to go to her blog.

3. Alex J. Cavanaugh, because with a name like his, he just deserves one, well, that’s not the reason. Alex writes Science Fiction, oh and, that’s not the reason either. I’m giving him the award because he has helped me a lot in the blogging world and I appreciate it. Click here to check out his blog.

4. Anne Randolph at Kitchen Soup for the Soul. Anne is fun to be with. We sat over lunch at the Colorado Gold Conference and laughed over stories of our past lives, you know, the life we had before we became writers. Anne teaches writing lessons among other things. You can link to her blog here.

So, there are my four blogging friends and how they have helped me, guided me, put up with me. Really, it is the last one I mentioned more then the other two.
This is long. I will quit here. On Thursday, 9/30/10, I’ll share the ten things about me.

Who has helped you in your life journey?

Man, so many people have helped me I don't even know where to start. This was very hard when I wrote the acknowledgements for my book! From my critique group to my family, I could not have done any of my writing on my own.

Congrats on the award! :)

You are so right Tamara. None of my critique group members or my family have blogs...or I would have to give them a star.

Thank you Golden.

Thank you both for reading and commenting.

Congrats on the awesome award! My crit partner has been a huge help to me. I couldn't do this w/o her. =)

Jules, some things have been bugging me about my blog, but until someone pointed it out I didn't realize it was slow.

Thank you Sylvia, if I could have chosen more you would have been another friend to get one.

Clarissa, I'm so glad you mentioned it was fast.

I so agree with you Carolyn, without our critique friends, writing would be harder.

Thank you Nicole.

And thanks to all of you for reading and commenting.

My wife and my friends have helped support my writing throughout my life. I am grateful for everyone who has positively (and negatively, though I am loathe to admit this) impacted my life.
