It’s a Halloween Party!

Join the fun. Feast on apples and walnuts.

Oh wait, just when you thought it was safe, a trick has been planted. Spiders! Rush to the bathroom and remove the little critters, then come on back for cupcakes and green apple cider, no spiders this time.

I’m dressed like an elf, not just any elf. The costume is inspired by my high fantasy. Since there isn’t a picture, I’ll do my best to describe it to you. Chiffon type material only made by elfin care. Gathered in a Grecian style over the bodice and crisscrossed with ribbon. It flows floor length but won’t hinder your steps. When I dance the material twirls out. No wings for elves, just pleasure. The colors are available in a rainbow of choices, I am wearing purple.

Here are the other party goers. Leave a comment about their costume, their trick or their treat. Or all three. Remember, the party fun is by following and becoming their friend.

Elizabeth

Jeffrey

Have fun.

Did you like my treat, my trick or my costume?

Ooh, fun! I'll definitely take one of those chocolate pumpkin cupcakes, perfect with my morning java ... Enjoy!

Your costume sounds creative. We're going bowling on Halloween. The only thing different on me will be those smelly bowling shoes. That's the trick. I really need to get a pair of my own. That would be a real treat.

Love the costume. I'm having a spot of bother with my makeup at the moment.

Hey Nancy,

The post is up. The costume is secured. I talked hubby into preparing the treat. And, the trick is more an act of God, so we'll see how it goes. Happy party to all & to all a Fright Night.

Thanks Golden, I'll head on over.

Cupcakes and Java, sounds great Joanne.

Bowling and Halloween, do you need to do any witchcraft to make the ball strike Stephen?

Make up is always a problem for me KK.

Good luck on your deadline Caroyln.

I'll take a peak Patti.

And to all, make sure you head over to all the other party goers and take a look at their post too.

Hi,

Wow! Great party. I'm dead jealous of your costume, and shall snack on apples, thanks. After all, it is the fruit of temptation. ;)

I'm more a traditional Halloween girl, all black and bats and ghouls, andthe occasional delectable hunk! :o

I'm sorry I won't be able to post today since I'm having may own little soiree. So, I post a mini post here. Okay? If I had my druthers, I’d dress up as a centaur. When I was a teenager I planned it out the whole costume, even how to construct it. The hind legs whole be on wheels so they could follow me around.

That is really cool Holly.

I'm wearing brown pants, a turtleneck with a pattern of autumn leaves and, around my neck, a bundle of twigs tied together with strips of flannel. What am I?

My trick is, inside the bundle of sticks are cello-wrapped caramels.

My treat is this short-short story.

Love the elf costume, Nancy! Thanks for the party!

Hi Marian, thanks for stopping by. I'm going to guess a wood nymph. I like your trick and treat as well.

I love elves and anything that comes in rainbow colors I like. This is going to be fun to read. :D

My post is going up at 6:30 pm and I must apologize. I had to get something off my chest this morning and while posting it I copied the wrong name in for the party. I went back and corrected it. Again, my mistake, sorry.

I lOVE your costume And your treat :)

I've not been well lately so I totally forgot the party and I'm totally unorganised. I'll make sure I visit everyone though.

I'll be giving out chocolate cupcakes and I'll be going as a hobbit with a mithril vest (because I'm short) lol. :)

N. R. Williams said...

I love Hobbits Lynda. And I like cupcakes too. So sorry you've been sick.

Great costume, Nancy! And I'm sorry I dropped the ball on the party day. For some reason I had it in my head for Saturday (maybe because I'm *going* to a Halloween party today!)

I'll check out all your party-goers. And, if I HAD been wearing a costume yesterday, I'd have been a witch. :)

Jeff Beesler said...

Wow, if you hadn't nudged me with a gentle, but firm, reminder, I might've missed the party altogether. I knew you were hosting a blogfest party. I just didn't realize it was this weekend.

My costume choice really ought to be the zombie one from what I posted back on my blog on Friday.

Thanks again for the reminder!

N. R. Williams said...

I'm glad you liked my costume Elizabeth. I am noting everyone's comment and next year I will be much more specific about the days.

I like your costume Jeffrey. A zombie to add to a mixture of so many other great costumes.

Thank you both and everyone else above for leaving a comment.

Nancy, wood elf is not correct. I've decided to make a contest of it. Correct guess wins your choice of Team Micah or Team Coalition button.

N. R. Williams said...

Oh...wood elf is the same as wood nymph...than I will head over for the contest. Sounds like fun.
