Hump Day Improvisation is dedicated to challenging all of you, writer, or reader to be creative and write a sentence or two. Yeah, it can be more.
I guess it’s the time of the year. Have your character describe the smells and taste of a favorite food. It can be anything, from dessert to a main course, fresh vegetables or fruit.
Did s/he make it? Do they eat it? Or do they drink it? Describe the smell, taste, sight or all three.
I will post my sentences at 6 p.m. pacific time.
Above all. Have a good time getting those writing juices flowing.
Guest Author Enid Wilson will join me tomorrow.

I'm in... I'll post a couple of sentences at 9pm... I do love a challenge.
The strong coffee slid down my throat, heat before it, bitterness after it, all enclosed in the thick aroma of Dad reading the newspaper and me going to college.
I'm glad you will be back Lou.
C.N. Excellent sentence combined with tension. I fear mine won't be as good.
Thank you both for dropping by.

"Rum, rum, rum, in my tum, tum, tum," she sang as she poured the creamy liquid into a glass and took a gulp. "What?" she yelled as she slammed the glass down. "This is no breakfast; it doesn't taste like eggs and there is definitely no alcohol in it whatsoever!"
Have a great day, Nancy.
Clarissa

Gordie's tongue lashed against the roof of his mouth, combating the alien substance which had appeared questionable even before he took a bite out of it. He gagged and turned to throw the plate of fruitcake into the garbage can, hearing it go thud against the bottom of the container, his nose still choked up with the remembrance of cake gone bad.
ha ha Clarissa made me laugh. will be back later 2 read yours
Glad you liked it. Guess what I drank for breakfast...

I felt her staring at me. I pictured her large eyes watching my lips move as I worked the savory meat with my teeth. The meat tore apart easily. Steak sauce would have only taken away from it's own perfect flavor. She was unnerving but my hunger wasn't dissolved just because she was being her usual creepy self.
Fun! Ah...I haven't visited with my characters in too long. This was nice.
Great sentences Jeffrey.
Joanna, thanks for dropping by.
Oh no, Clarissa, you didn't did you?
Thank you all for dropping in and leaving a comment.

Lemon Possett - the stream of lemon juice pouring from on high into the pot of cream on the straw matted floor - no worries re the splashes, she thought, as she gently tipped the jug ... the cream frothed and bubbled up. The lemon was finished, the cream was left to set - off the floor away from the ever hopeful black and white pussy cat. Lemon Possett beckoned for later in the evening sun.
Cheers - Hilary
Great sentence Hilary. Nice to have you join my followers.

I was a bit busy yesterday and somehow forget your Wednesday Improv!
Better late than never...
Lapsang Souchong
The kettle thrashed and spat its impatience as I dropped a tea bag into the bone china mug. The fuming water darkened as it swirled around the mug, setting the teabag off on a drunken pirouette. A cloud of steam lifted an intense aroma of childhood camp fires and brought a little smile of memory.
Great sentence Dominic. I'm so glad you posted it even though it was late.
