Mondays Theme: The Edits Are Almost Done.

Hurray. I’ve completed chapters 1 – 36. I will head over to the printers today to print out the last installment my editor has scent. She only has thirteen chapters left to edit and send me. Fortunately, there are not an overwhelming number of changes.

Thank you for all your comments last Monday about the opening paragraph and which sentence was better. I picked one. If you’d like to read Chapter one of The Treasures of Carmelidrium, it’s located under pages. Just click the title and it will take you there.

Have a great Monday everybody. If you have any questions go ahead, ask.

Cool update: Late last night my editor sent me seven more chapters. So today I will print out 13 chapters. She has only 6 left.

Oooh congrats on finishing the edits! Whenever I read my WiP I get such a sinking feeling from the amount of work that I still need to do.

Hi Nancy, I wonder if as you get closer to publication, are you preparing any marketing now, to have in place at pub time?

Way to go Nancy. Sounds like you deserve a cup of (beverage of your choice)... :D

Nice to see you back Misha, I suspect you've got a little breathing room from your studies.

Mary, I still have 19 chapters but I am confident that I will have them done at the end of this week.

It sure is Elizabeth.

I definitely see the light Joanna.

Joanne, I've been so focused on getting the edits done I have only thought a little about the promotion. For one thing I didn't have a firm date and I still don't. But I do have two volunteers to have me on their blog.

I agree, Jules, lets meet up at the virtual bar and have a toast.

Thank you all for dropping in and leaving a comment.

Hi Nancy.

Well done - so close now! I will go and read Chapter 1 in a bit!
If you would like, I would be pleased to host an interview / review on my blog, although I think the overlap between our followers is almost complete!

Feel free to share the Unexpected Tale game ... same goes for anyone who likes the idea!

Yes, excellent first chapter! I enjoyed it.

Something I thought I'd mention. My wife studied music at University. Her first instrument was her voice, and she HAD to have a second instrument. She was Grade 6 oboe, but the university told (encouraged?) her to give up the oboe in favour of the piano because it would be "more useful". It made me think of it when you said Missy couldn't play the piano.

I am looking forward to release day!

Thank you Dom. It is interesting to read from you all over seas about this grade 6 and what not. I am not familiar with the terminology. I am thrilled you liked it. I have been a nervous wreck about sharing it.

This is just the first time I have to go through this Abby. At least that is my hope, as grueling as edits are, I have more than one story. Thanks for leaving a comment.
