Today really is a “Whatever Tuesday.” There is so much to share. I was honored by Misha at My First Book with the Versatile Blogger Award. Thank you, Misha.
Rules:
Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them.
List seven things about yourself.
Give the award to seven friends.
I’m going to be totally selfish and list my editing news right along with everything else.
1. I am at the gate. I have six chapters to go. It’s a process; first I go through the printed copy along with the word.doc copy and highlight all the changes. That usually takes one day if I’m not interrupted.
2. There are seven people living here as of last Saturday. I get interrupted a lot.
3. I had an emotional attack last week and took a nose dive. I never understand those things. I worked it out by blogging. Yeah!
4. My writing has improved because I blog. I never thought I could write short stories or flash fiction before this.
5. The most important book in my formative years was, The Little Engine That Could, by Watty Piper, George Hauman, and Doris Hauman.

6. The reason that book was important is that I couldn’t read in the third grade. I had been switched from my left hand to my right and the schools quit teaching phonics. My Mom taught me to read using phonics and through that difficult time she would quote from the book above, “I think I can, I think I can, I knew I could.”
7. Women who have suffered verbal abuse appear to be strong when they are crying out inside. I know. It takes every ounce of strength to get up in the morning, breathe all day long, and be there for your children. Don’t worry, the abuse is over.
All of you deserve this award, but there are rules. I love you all. You encourage me, read my stuff, comment and are generally great pals. If your name isn’t on the list, go ahead and take the award if you want. Breaking rules is fun!
Here are the seven awesome bloggers I have chosen for the award.
1. Patricia Stoltey
2. Nicole MacDonald
3. Marian Allen
4. Clarissa Draper
5. Holly Ruggiero
6. Karen G.
7. Monti (Mary-Montague Sikes).
My seven blogger friends are fabulous. They have many virtues and I am sure a few flaws. I hope you visit their blogs and follow them. They are truly versatile.
Drum roll…here it is, my book cover. I love it. It tells you immediately that there is a flute involved in the story. That flute, while being played by my heroine, Missie, empowers The Treasures of Carmelidrium. Watch out Renwyk, Lord of the Symberveen, there’s trouble coming your way.

Thursday I will host guest author, Jan Markley.
Friday I will host guest author, Marian Allen.

it is so beautiful and elegant, I can't take my eyes off it.
I was switched from left to right too, but at a much younger age by my nanny and all they just managed to do is turn me ambidextrous.
I loved the Little Engine that Could! And I love the book cover.
Little Engine is still my most important read.
I too got out of the abuse--Hurray for us, and others!
Teachers changed my hands. My dad said he thinks it confused me. Me, confused, who wouldda thought:o)
Seven people equals a lot of interuptions.
Won't have major news until Thursday - and hopefully it's good!
Thank you, Nancy, for all your kindnesses.
I wonder how many of us have gotten through (and still get through!) tough times with the help of the Little Engine That Could?
Beautiful cover! Sherry is brilliant, isn't she?
Marian Allen
Beautiful cover, Nancy. I like the scroll work on the side too, nice detail. No news to share, all's quiet at the moment as I finetune my manuscript, blog, query and prepare for the holiday :)
Ambidextrous, cool Joanna. High praise on the book cover too. Thanks.
Thank you Kobico.
I think they should make a badge for us Mary. I tend to be a little confused now and then too.
I look forward to your news on Thursday Alex.
That would be an interesting survey Marian, about the Little Engine That Could. Sherry is brilliant and kind.
There's something wonderful about things being quiet Joanne. I'm glad you liked the cover.
Thank you all for dropping by and leaving a comment.

Cool cover art .. best wishes for your success! Just picked up Shrek IV and the Pied Piper uses a flute to do his dirty work.
I LOVE the book cover. The colors are great.
Seven people! Wow, you are brave. Blogging has helped me with my writing too. Congrats on the award and thanks.
Yes he does Stephen, I have an appearance of rats too. But they aren't seen, just heard. LOL
You are super welcome Holly.
Thank you both for dropping by and leaving a comment.

Kudos on the award and the cover. Cover looks great. I think adults should be required to re-read that favorite book of yours. :)

Congrats on your award and the cover looks awesome!
Thank you, Nancy for the wonderful award. Also, Sherry did a great job. So elegant looking.

Thanks for the award Nancy! I'm so glad to have you as a friend here. And your book cover is wonderful! The colors, the design and the flute are very intriguing, makes me want to pick it up and have a look through.
Thank you Colene.
Yes Clarissa, Sherry did do an awesome job on the cover. You are most welcome to get the award.
Oh...that is thrilling Karen that the cover alone could inspire such a desire as taking a look. You deserve the award.
Thank you all for dropping by and leaving a comment.

Thanks for the award, Nancy. I appreciate you thinking of me. Your book's cover art is really nice. Sherry did a great job. I wish you all kinds of good luck with this Kindle edition.
Your book cover is incredible!! I came over from Clarissa Draper's blog. She said you had posted the cover. Yay!
The Little Engine That Could is deep in my psyche, too. I read/heard it when I was in elementary school. I think I can, I think I can. It's the power of positive thinking!!
The bloggers you listed are indeed some of the most versatile bloggers in blogger land. I'm heading over to meet the two I don't know!
Thank you! Wow you have how many people living with you at the moment!?! That must be a tad trying *grin* and thanks for your thoughts on my covers, yours is beautiful!

I LOVE the book cover! It's wonderful, with the colors and the design. :)
Not much news on my part . . .
You're welcome Patricia. Sherry did a great job.
Thank you so much Ann. I'd better head over to Clarissa's now to take a look.
Yeah, 7 is more than I care for. But, in this economic time it is necessary.
I love it too Golden.
Thank you all for dropping in and laving a comment. Much appreciated.

Congratulations on your award. Your book cover is awesome. The flute makes one wonder what part it plays in the story.

Congrats for your award and congrats to the awardees.
Your book cover look lovely! Love the color and the flute placed across it.
Thank you Rachna.

I like the cover :-) LOVE the flute!
Me too Rachel, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Thanks so much for the seven things about you.
I'm so happy to hear how far you're progressing with your edits. Then I'm even more impressed to think about how difficult it must have been for you to learn to read. My brother is dyslexic and also took years to learn to read smoothely. It was incredibly frustrating for him, but he kept at it. I think that that makes you both awesome.
I LOOOOOVE the cover!
:-)
Thank you so much Misha for all your kind words. dyslexia is an incredibly difficult thing. In my day, they told my mother I was a "learned" dyslexic. Now they don't classify children with my particular difficulty in that way.
I love the cover too.

Thank you so much for my award, Nancy. Because of issues, I just got to see this today! I love the Little Engine book and over the years have often referenced it when working with children! Thank you again. I'm going now to blog about this neat award!!!
