Supermarket Flashmob, Hump Day Improvisation:

Your Hump Day Challenge:

I hope you enjoyed the mob flash and are inspired. Today, write a few sentences about a character that is lost in time, for good or bad.

As always, I will have my sentences added at 6 p.m. Pacific time. Check back to read them.

Have fun!

That was truly weird.
And wish the people in our supermarket looked that normal.

I would have freaked out if that happened while I was in the store . . .LOL.

Her arms--she couldn't feel her arms. Her legs were numb. Her head felt heavy and set in stone. The people around her buzzed with their usual talk, but she was completely alone.

This morning I feel like the mime leaning on the concrete pillar. Could not sleep at all :(

She pulled on her tie-dyed T-shirt and the bell-bottoms with the frayed hems. It was cold out, so she wore her Cher boots, not her Jesus sandals, and a fake fur coat that looked like she had been badly digested by a bear with mange. Her braided hair was thin and gray, her heavily mascaraed eyes were weak and her pinked lips were rimmed with lines. Everybody laughed at her--"stuck in the '60s"--but she was happy. Happy then, happy now.

I agree, Alex, they do look better than most super market crowds. Me thinks this was a class assignment. LOL

I definitely would be scratching my head Golden. Your sentences are great.

I hate morning like that Jules. I hope you get some rest.

Marian, love the sentences. I think I saw your character the other day.

I'd probably start laughing Carolyn.

Thank you all for dropping by and leaving a comment. It was a late morning for me.

Mercy looked up into the sky and screamed. From her side of the screen she could see a huge mass of flesh dive toward something across the way, something below the border between her world and the next. She caught the glint from the surface of a pinkish fingernail and the thunder of a single click. A blanket of darkness consumed everything around her. The final thing she heard was that of a cackle from somewhere on the other side of the screen...

I loved that! Can't believe people just kept walking around them, as if there was nothing unusual. I would have at least checked on the girl lying on the floor!

I had to laugh that the non participants didn't even seem to notice that there was something amiss! Only in Britain!

Gary was struggling through his exam paper, each question harder than the one before. Every page he checked the clock, but it hadn't seemed to move. He never seemed to get more than half way through the booklet either. Whoever knew that Hell had an entrance exam?

HA, so cool! Freaky, but cool.

It is amazing how people can just ignore stuff Helen.

I loved those sentences Dom. Hell has and entrance exam. I plan on failing that one.

Yes it is freaky Lynda.
