R is for Review

I have the privilege of having many wonderful reviews. I love them all. But I have to say that this review surprised me because I totally forgot Becky was reading my book. She touched my heart as did so many others.

The Treasures of Carmelidrium is an amazing work of fiction by writer R. N. Williams. It expertly blends adventure, romance and magic with the wonders of music together to produce a truly breathtaking story. It is a gem of a book to rival even the most popular fantasy writers!
The characters are expertly portrayed and hurl you into their world with enthusiasm. The heroine Michelle, or Missie, is everything she should be and more, as well as the hero being instantly likeable and their story not at all nauseating! Music plays a large part of this story and is amazingly woven into the plot and expertly written so you can almost hear it yourself.
The story itself hurls you into a world of Princes, Princesses, Lords, Ladies, evildoers and war. The climax of the story is expertly reached; leaving you wishing the end would not come because then you would have to stop reading! Throughout, the Treasures of Carmelidrium had me laughing, crying and bouncing up and down in my seat anxiously awaiting whatever happened next. There are hardly any words that properly describe how I feel about this book...I was left speechless and anxiously await the next stage of the story!
N. R. Williams now joins my list of all time favourite authors with her book The Treasures of Carmelidrium taking pride of place. I highly recommend that if you haven't yet read The Treasures of Carmelidrium that you do so as soon as possible because you cannot begin to fathom what you are missing out on!!

A talented flutist is yanked from our world and thrown into a world that resembles Middle Ages France. Her music is the only thing that can save a Kingdom in desperate need. Along the way she finds the thing that is missing from her music...true happiness. Thus begins the amazing epic which will have you on the edge of your seat. A true page turner, I have not read its equal for a long time!

For more excellent reviews see the pages above this post and below my banner that says: Reviews 4 Treasures.

But wait...it's late on Wednesday night and my short story is just up today and already I have a review by the wonderful Nicole MacDonald at Damsel in a Dirty Dress

Here's the review that she gave 5 stars:
A gorgeous wee childrens story, April 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Magic of Windlier Wood (Kindle Edition)
This is one of those story's that instantly makes you nostalgic for the fun, imaginative stories you read yourself as a child. It had very vivid descriptions and the main character is just adorable with his stubborn, determined objective. The open ending, I hope, suggests at more to follow as I'd love to see more of Newert the Erbit.
I'd recommend this to those looking for a simple and sweet bedtime story for kids and if my niece and nephew are anything to go by they should love it. Could easily appeal to ages 4-10 (and even me *lol* as a 29yr bedtime reader).

If you'll have time, Laurie posted an interview with me here.

Have a great day.

Hi Nancy! Congratulations on your books and review! I enjoyed reading your interview. The Treasures of Carmelidrium sounds wonderful! :) And The Magic of Windlier Wood will make a perfect bedtime story for my sons! Will you be doing any signings or events in the Denver area? I'd love to support you!

That's awesome! Aren't great reviews cool? Two people posted reviews of my book today and both just blew me away.

Hi Melissa, thank you so much for the support. At this time both books are e-books only. But I have plans to use CreateSpace for Treasures. I have it with someone because there are two misspelled words and I want to make sure there aren't anymore of them.

Thank you Siv, Ann, Bish, and Alex. Way to go Alex...I am looking forward to reading your reviews.

And thank you also for going to Laurie's to read the review.

Nancy, thanks again for visiting both sites that reviewed my book, especially Gail's! She and Donna were both featured for the A to Z Challenge and are just wonderful women.

N. R. Williams said...

Oh that is exciting Donna. I think you told me before but life is busy and I often forget who said what.

Thank you Michael, I'm thrilled.

You're welcome Alex. I was already following Donna but I hadn't met Gail yet.
