Greetings all. Sorry this is late, I was babysitting my grandson all day yesterday and by the time I was releaved I was exhausted.
Hump Day Improvisation is when I post a picture and give you an idea of what you should write. In the comments, write one or two sentences or more if you like.
Today, your character has recieved bad news. Either job loss, divorce, or death in the family. Perhaps she has been kicked out of her home and will be homeless. Whatever you decide. Make sure you write what she feels about this loss.
I look forward to reading everyone's post. My sentences will magically appear in the comments after 6 pm Rocky Mountain Time Daylight Savings Time USA.

No tears, no shouts, not even a tug of her hair. Where once her heart had beat, a chasm has formed, swallowing whole everything she ever was. She might bury her face in her arms, if she could ever feel them again.
Excellent Jeffrey, I love it.

She failed her first class in four years. A big fat F landed on final grades. Her GPA, ruined, like most of her relationships. She gave it all up for college and now she must turn around and do Biology again. Again, the word crashed in her thoughts. Her stomach sank, a bottom less pit of despair stretched its wide mouth over her thoughts, how could she manage the class a second time?
They handed me Ikos dog collar. It still felt warm and there were smalls strands of his soft hair trapped inside the latch. Tears were caught somewhere in my throat. I walked out the vets door alone with an empty collar and a hole in my heart. Never again my friend, never again.
Summer, fabulous sentences. I hadn't thought of that.
Oh Siv, for anyone who's lost a pet you have captured the emotions well.
Thank you both for stopping by and sharing.

It all is so wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
That part should have been hers. She had nailed that audition. Now she had to smile and congratulate that stupid Nadeen. Everything clenched inside her and tears tried to form but she forced them back. They would NOT see her cry.
I could cheat and pull something from one of my books! I'll have to do this sometime. Need to prepare for two seminars tonight, so it's prep time.
I just stopped by to say "Hey, still alive." Little hiatus.

I just stopped by to say I'm sorry. I really must be more serious.

Thank you Nas.
Love the sentences Linda.
Ugh, two classes L. Diane, but I suspect you must be interested.
I thought about you today since we've had a tornado today. I don't think anyone got hurt.
No need to apologize for who you are, Denise. We love you just the way you are.
Thanks very one for stopping by.
Now, here are my sentences:
She had feared as much. First her job loss in this economy. Now she'd arrived home to find an eviction notice on the door. What would she do? Her stomach ached, tears slid from her eyes, she found her pillow and wept.

She just learned it would take 4-6 weeks for her bangs to grow back. She should've never gone to Super Cuts for a $10 trim.
PS Excuse my snark. I hope you're well.

And then he simply walked out the door, as if the last six months meant nothing to him. Should she text him now, or after the baby was born? If she cut off his cell phone, how would she find him again.
Too many decisions at the end of a long work day . .
This was fun Nancy :) Thanks.
