Update December 2012

Once again I find I need to take a break, so sorry. Last year when I had acute bronchitis one of the side effects was extreme bacteria in my mouth that started to disintegrate my teeth.I mean that literally. Little pieces break off like taking a file to your nails or dry skin. At this writing some of my teeth are all the way down to the roots. I mention this because it has become extremely painful and is affecting my ability to write or do most anything.

We have Dental Insurance but it is limited to $2,000 a year in benefits and that equals one or two teeth extracted at a time. I need the entire mouth and dentures. Cost $15,000.00 which I don't have. So until I find a Dentist who will work with me I will continue to suffer.

I hope to post for the Holiday blogfest with Romantic Friday Writers. See you then.

Oh my! I feel for you. I can't stand mouth pain at all. I'd rather give birth all over again.
I sympathize as well. I have one cracked molar and one of my front teeth is in dire need of a root canal and porcelain crown. But I don't have the $1,500.00 to pay for it! But sometimes having insurance is like not having insurance... augh!
Feel better soon!

Oh no! That is awful. I've had dreams where my teeth have disintegrated, but I didn't know it could happen in real life! Ugh. I hope you can find a dentist who will let you make payments soon. :(

Dear Nancy,

I am so sorry to hear about your dental problems. My maternal grandfather (1893-1968) was a dentist. And in his day, he could not see suffering without trying to alleviate it, often without receiving full payment, if someone really needed his help and could not afford it.

I dearly hope you can find a good dentist to help you. There is no pain like toothache, so I know you are suffering.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I put a link to this blog on my blog. I am slowing putting links to my Rew-friends for easy reference. (But I am not finished yet; there are many whom I have not had time to link.)

I am late with my comment rounds for our Christmas-blogfest because I went back to my parent's house to remove the last of my possessions before my brother sells the house. It was a lot of work packing and mostly very sad. But I did get to visit with my 86-year mother who still can speak Swedish (as well as English) after 66 years in the US).

Blessings,
Anna

Hi Anna
I'm glad you were able to visit your mother. One must ask, were you raised in the US?
