Hump Day Improvisation:

This is a fun post where I ask you to participate and do a little improvised writing. Today we will tackle the all evasive, ever present cliché. I will provide you with three clichés and you will revise them in the comments section. You may write in any genre. Here is a quick review of the rules followed by three clichés.

Rules: You need to refer to the sentence number that you selected so people reading can understand what you are saying. If you’re in a writing mood you can rewrite the whole thing or, if you’re like me, cut and paste it into the comments.

Rules continued: Keep it clean. This is not an x-rated blog and very young eyes may stumble upon this blog and be influenced by what you or I write.

Rules continued: You don’t have to be a writer. You just need to be brave enough to share your idea.

1. Cliché: Love never dies.

2. Cliché: Is it getting to hot in the kitchen?

3. Cliché: If you build it and they will come.

Pick one or all. The challenge is to change the cliché into a well written sentence. At the end of the day I will post three sentences of my own. Have fun and either be silly or serious.

Challenging! :)

1. Love is life. Life is eternity, as is love.

2. The pressure is getting to you?

3. Inspired action will lead to a desired outcome.

1. Cliché: "Love is always there, you just have to find it again. It's with your car keys."

2. Cliché: I don't really understand this one but I'll try this: "Are you like a claustrophobic in the closet?"

3. Cliché: "No one will come to nothing." ha ha ha. That's something that makes not sense.

So you're doing cliches too, eh? Fun!

1. Love is as everlasting as a piece of gum.
(romantic, I know)

Hi Nancy! You always write such wonderful comments on my blog, and I wanted you to know how much I appreciate you! Thanks :D

This is a fun exercise. Let me take a stab:

1. [Love never dies.] Love embraced me when I arrived and bid me farewell when it was my time to go.

2. [Is it getting too hot in the kitchen?] Is your soup about to boil over?

3. [If you build it and they will come.] Bridges were made for crossing.

Fun :))

JW...I like it.

Clarissa...I like that my love is hidden with my car keys.

Amanda...my gum doesn't last very long.

Nicole...Thank you for the nice compliment and I love the one about my soup boiling over.

Thank you all for stopping by and sharing.

I'm a little bit late for this but...

Love never dies, it just gets old.

When the smoke alarm beeps dinner is indeed ready.

If you build it they will come, unless it's on Mars.

Found you on WOW and this looked entertaining!
My attempts:
1. Love: Not found in clever but forever in clover.
2. Know when to step back and let someone else stir the pot.
3. Take the first step and others will follow even without Sat Nav.
