Hump Day Improvisation: My sentences:

To see the challenge view the post below.

She read the report. Someone must be fired. Rubbing her hands together she viewed the workers, working at their cubicles. No pleasure was greater than exercising her power over those beneath her.

Alfred, she thought. Yes, he’d been there ten years too long. She rose from her chair, meandered through the makeshift hall. Had no concern that others would over hear. When she stood before Alfred she opened her mouth to speak, but before she could, he jumped from his chair.

“Eggnog, Ms. Miserable?” He thrust the glass into her hand.

Miserable took it and began to giggle. She giggled so hard she had to sit in Alfred’s chair.

“Merry Christmas, Alfred. I’ve approved a 10% raise for you.”

Hope you all liked my own little variation of Scrooge.

That was fun! I was relieved for Alfred! :)

Certainly an unexpected twist in the story, and also a subtle, cautionary tale about the ill effects of eggnog, too. Excellent sentences!

I'm glad you enjoyed them Jemi.

It is a cautionary tale of eggnog, Jeffrey. I'm enjoying some right now. Non-alcoholic of course.

Thank you both for dropping back in and leaving a comment.

Hehehehe nicely done.

Wish I knew what eggnog tastes like. We don't drink it here.

Hi Misha, eggnog is yummy. It's a good reason to visit a northern country for Christmas.

Yes Jules, Alfred definitely did something.

Thank you both for dropping in and leaving a comment.
