Harry Potter Blogfest: March 2011

Harry Potter blogfest brought to you by Michael Di Gesu at In time...

Rules:
Which two characters would you want for your BFF, AND what kind of  trio would you be? Isn't this GREAT! Thank you Ms. Tart for your nakedness that brought on this blogfest! (He speaks of Hart Johnson of course.) Have your entry posted on Wednesday March 30th. We need something fun for HUMP day!

My entry:
The two characters that I would want to be BFF with in the entire Harry Potter series. That’s a tall order, well, if you’re talking about Hagrid anyway. So who would I pick? Hmmm…let me see.

1.    I do believe I would like to have Snape. Why, he is so deliciously evil while being a good guy. Talk about a gray hat! You know, the old white hat good guy and black hat bad guy of the old west. Snape would have a gray hat and it wouldn’t look anything like a cowboy hat. He’d come in handy if I needed to poison someone, I mean, if I needed to cast a love spell, isn’t that the same? LOL

2.    Hands down it’s got to be, Mr. Weasley, because he would love me in all my muggleness. Yes, Mr. Weasley, Arthur Weasely, would be so fascinated by computers and the blogging world he would be beside himself. Next thing I’d know, my computer would be spell bound to make beautiful prose out of my insanity. Oh, don’t tell anyone I said that. I’m sane folks, really I am.

What would our three some be called? I thought it was hard coming up with a name for my book. I still wonder if I got that right. But I like it so it stays.

A name. Let’s consider the abilities, me a muggle, a writer, a mom and grandmother but probably most important to Snape, and Mr. Weasley, an American muggle. Snape would snort and Weasley would giggle. Well...maybe not.

How about MugSapWe…yes, an acronym that represents the three of us. It’s a plot that is worthy to be told.

Don't forget: My book is being auctioned at Write Hope; The Treasures of Carmelidrium.

Cheers you all.

Check out all the other muggle writers at Michael’s blog…In time…

Embarrassing... I do not know who Snapp and Mr. Weasley are but if you like`em, it's good enough for me. Fun read, even if I don't know these people :)

Snape really IS fascinating... and maybe he wouldn't be so horrible if he had a good friend, so good luck with that! teehee. I LOVE your Arthur description! The charm for beautiful prose... man, I need to learn that one! (and thank you for the shout out!)

Nancy,

This is great! Choosing Snape and Mr. Weasley. I would think you'd have to play referee.

I adore both characters and to put them together is just TOO FUN!

Thanks for taking part in the fun!

Oh, I forgot about Mr Weasly! What a good choice - he would certainly be FASCINATED by this "internet machine"!

What a fun group! MugSapWe! You'd fascinate Mr. Weasley, and Snape would enjoy the opportunity to feel extra superior.

N. R. Williams said...

Thank you, Rachel and Marsha. You're so right about, Snape, Marsha.

Would it be so wrong to say Harry and Hermione? Oh but I love Ron as well, and Dumbledore surely! Gosh, now I'm all confused. It's hard to pick two when Rowling created so many awesome characters!

Abby Minard said...

aw, cool Nancy! Mr Weasley is a great choice for us muggles! I never even thought of that!

N. R. Williams said...

I know Nut...to be honest, I thought a lot more people would pick Harry. That's one reason I didn't.

Thank you Abby.

MugSapWe...it's, um, cathcy? Heehee. But I'm no one to talk---my family is going to Disney World in the fall and had to come up with a group name, so my brother combined our four last names and we are now officially: Keonicbucner. Huh?

Marie Rearden said...

Wow. Could you imagine Mr. Weasley and Snape in the same room together? Pretty ugly. You'd have to be the referee!

Thanks for sharing.

Snape and Mr. W! Now there's a pair. ;o) Enjoyed reading about your choices. Have a great rest of the week!

N. R. Williams said...

That's funny Nicki.

Marie, they were on the same side. Remember who Ron, Fred, George, Jennie, Hermione and Harry heard talking at the Black house with that fake ear the cat ate?

Thank you Carol.

I'm pleased to meet you, Monica and on my way.

I totally get Snape- he's really cool! I'd also want Sirius- though he's dead :(

Yes, Sirius is great. So sad he died. Thanks for dropping by, Aisha.

Nancy, this was perfect!! I LOVED Snape and I knew he was good. I just knew it (and I cried like a baby when he died...)

Mr. Weasley? Love him too. He's just precious.

Love your trio name, too. Still laughing at that one.

Hmmm...if I had to pick two people for my trio it would be Charlie Weasley (I mean, come on! He works with DRAGONS!!) and...Sirius Black. In my world, Sirius is still alive, as he should be :D

Happy weekend!
