Announcements March 2012

Greetings all my blogger friends. I think I will add an announcement day, once a month or more often as news gathers at my feet. What do you think? I'd better find a great picture to go with it.

So here is the first thing on my list:

I won! How about that? I won Romantic Friday Writer's Challenge with my story on "I

Love You Because." To read it go here. J. L. Campbell also won for her excellent submission, so if you'd like to read her post go here.

To read more Romantic flash fiction by the bloggers who participate, or to join the fun go here.

My friend and fellow local author, Carol Berg, shared this link with our writing group. The Sunday New York Times article on, Why our brains love fiction. Interesting and informative and certainly something I have personally experienced. Check it out here and don't forget to look up Carol's numerous published fantasy books, here.

Another way to advertise your books and other stuff too. Dani at Blog Book Tours shared this link to Pinterest. I haven't had time to look into this yet so I can't share any details. It looks interesting. To visit Pinterest just search the name, I've tried to fix the link several times and it still won't work. To visit Dani's blog, go here.

As an aside, Dani gives classes on blogging, so if your new to the blogosphere, or if your planning a book tour you should check into what she has to offer.

On the home front. Yes, I'm still sick, this may be permanent. We are moving into a new place April 1. No idea where it is yet. LOL. The worse part is my limited time to blog. After I read about four of your post I am done in. That just isn't how I want to treat my friends. It seems though, that I have an unlimited capacity for mindless activity. I'm not sure what Cafe World on Facebook will do when I scale down to write like a fevered person. No pun intended. Castleville doesn't take as much time, also on Facebook.

We have a different internet provider. Yea! My computer plus my daughters. I've been using hers and it has been a hassle since all my writing was on mine.

I should have a new book release in April. Michael De Gesu is doing the illustrations and his life has been crazy recently. To check out Michael's blog, In Time...go here.

I bet you have heard about the A - Z Challenge, who hasn't? If not a short run down is that you blog everyday, Monday through Friday, and visit others who are participating. Many bloggers choose themes. I participated last year but I simply can't do it this year. So since it is pointless to post during April I will reserve my post for announcements of any kind. If you want to read about the A - Z Challenge or sign up go here.

That's all for now folks...have a great day.

Hope you get on the mend soon, Nancy!
I know the pull of mindless Facebook games; I do my best to stay as far from them as I can.

I totally understand. I've had about seven months like that and some days it's still all I can do to read a few blogs and go back to sleep. I'm not even sick just preg, but I'll be back to normal after May!

Hi Jamie
Yes, stay way should be my mantra, but when you're too sick to write and TV bores you, games are a good way to pass time. I will probably go through withdrawels. LOL

Hi Hilary
Thanks for your warm wishes.

Hi Beth
With my first I was on bed rest the last four months. So bored, that was for sure. With my second, she came out with no hassles.

Hi Andy,
Thank you so much.

And a Big Thanks to all of you for coming by and leaving a comment.
