I know, it's totally lame. How many of you said...x what can I find for x except x-ray? So I searched for a picture and I got the usual x-ray shots and then I got this one.
Picture link.
Immediately I was reminded of my characters. They appear in my head, usually wearing skin and clothes, and say. "Who am I?" "What's my name?" "Where do I live?"
It's my job to let them know. Rarely do they come in the complete package.
So how do your characters stack up?

What a cool pic! Sometimes I get the story idea first, other times the characters speak to me and I write a story around them.
Mine remain voices in my head that just wait their turn to let their words flow though my fingers into a blog:-) Stop in & read X is for Xylocopa
Mine stack up just fine. In the morgue, in a ditch. Stack them one on top of the other. No problem.
that is a very cool picture, and what a great analogy. It's true, our characters show up and we have to give them their bodies! :o)
My MC usually comes with a face and a voice. The name can also be there but sometimes it takes a while for the name to emerge.
Freaky!
Thank you PK, Up, Stephen, LTM, Ann and Alex for stopping by and leaving a comment. So Alex, is freaky your new character? LOL

Very cool picture! Thank you for sharing. :)
You're welcome Jeffrey.

Wonderful way to use X-ray for the letter X. Who wouldn't, with a picture like that? Glad you found it.

Thank you Ebendy and Kay. I'll be sure to stop by your blogs.

I think mine stack like that middle blue one. All bugged eyed and mad because I piled 15 more on top of him :)

Most of the time my characters seem to come to me almost fully formed. I have to x-ray them to get very particular details.
That's such a cool picture and you make such a great point.
I wrote about x-rays too. I wonder how many other people did. :-)
Thank you Jules, Bish and Karen. I appreciate you coming by and leaving a comment. I just couldn't think of another word besides x-ray. My brain is mush lately. LOL
