I’ve got a DroidX

I haven’t got my camera filled with pictures so I can’t share any of them yet. Therefore I will share a very short post today.

My husband murdered his phone. Sad but true. He drowned it in his pants pocket when he did laundry. Verizon doesn’t give you a new phone when you commit an act as heinous as that. No, they give you the insurance card, you have to order the phone online and it is shipped over night to you. Problem was he had to leave so he got my old phone in the meantime. It’s two and a half and I got a free upgrade to a DroidX. It’s not completely free, but almost. Do you all know what that means?

I can buy e-books. Of course I want a larger Kindle or iPad, but in the meantime, I can still enjoy the e-books. Super cool! Hurrah! Way to go!

Have a great weekend.

I like those Droids. I lose my internet connection often out here in the boonies, and it's saved my bacon several times.

I have a Droid, too, but it's the model before the X. They're great phones!

Enjoy that phone, technology sure is "tweet!"

Nice to meet you eMily, I'll check out your site.

Maria, connections are so important in our day and age. I'm glad your bacon got saved.

Hey Golden, you're going to achieve great things. If only I'd known when I was young that I wanted to write.

That is boring Marian. LOL

I was so surprised that I was going to get one you have no idea Elizabeth. Now they have numerous choices including 3D. I opted for the biggest screen. e-books are on my mind.

Hey Joanne, it is tweet. HeHe.

Thank you all for dropping by.

Sounds like the death of a phone is the birth of a new love affair. I have a Kindle, and I love it. I'll be interested to know how you like your DroidX. I want a smart phone ASAP, and I think I'm going with Droid. I tend to prefer Apple products, but Verizon just gets such great coverage.

I agree Cara. We've been with Verizon for over 5 years and I am happy with them. Thanks for leaving a comment.

It must have been a horrible moment when he realized that heavy thing in his freshly washed pants was his phone.

Yeah Holly...he berated himself repeatedly. Oh well, nothing I said helped.

I could never read my phone, but I do want a new one. Preferably one I can get on the web in under 5 minutes on!

I have trouble just getting my phone to answer a call or turn off when I finish a call. I've got to get better about technology. Enjoy your phone. It's neat that you can read a book on it.

That's so cool. You're going to have to get a new phone or Kindle soon because if you have to give the phone back to your husband, you'll go through withdrawals.

N. R. Williams said...

Chris, the web comes up fast.

Mason, the new one is a breeze.

No Clarissa, his new phone arrived. The DroidX is mine.

Thank you all for stopping by.

Hi!
I can't pretend I know what a DroidX is ... I still use an old nokkia. It's not even 3g :(
I have mentioned at home that if various family members wanted to get together I would love to have a kindle for Christmas. Nothing for it, but to keep my fingers crossed!

I hope you get one Dominic.

I don't do droids or any of that stuff, but I'm looking forward to my Kindle for Christmas. I don't enjoy being too connected by phone, but I love being connected to books.

I agree Cinette.

I'm not that big on the phone aspect. It's another tool to use for blogging, e-books etc. Thanks for dropping in Patricia.
